the week of Hallow's Eve........

 
We decided to take a little trip to Gardner Village Saturday evening. We had no idea a witches convention would take place. To be exact......Puttin' on the Witch at Gardner Village in West Jordan Utah.

 
Some witches live in pink and white cottages and were so lovely.......

   
 
Some witches love a good game of baseball.......

 
Some witches were British. This one in particular, had a crush on my husband.....said he had a beautiful smile for a Warlock.

 

Some witches would fly by night......

Some witches were unlucky.....

 

Some witches were very mischievous.....

 

Some witches were not very lady like at all.........

 

and some witches were all about fashion........

Love, love the new Domino book of decorating. I have been in love with their magazine for a year now, so I had to get the book. How much do I love it? Well, I've been on the same page for an hour. Just day dreaming.....thinking....wow......now what piece of furniture can I move around now! I love anything that inspires me.....especially decorating magazines and books. 

The Meanest Doll in the World is for me too----doll books always catch my eye. Jake is sporting Pete and Pickles. It's getting so cold out, nothing like reading by the fire.

 

We made Farm Doll's (aka ) Farm Chick's Ranch Hand Soup again....it's always a hit and even better in the Fall. Here is the recipe in case you missed it. Thanks Tania!

   

We've been watching Toy Story I and II non-stop for a month now. So I was feeling like making "Cowboy Cookies". Thanks for the recipe Cindy, my husband also thanks you because they do not have a drop of coconut.

Cowboy Cookies

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups oats
1 package milk chocolate chips

Blend shortening, butter and sugars. Add eggs. In separate bowl combine flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Stir together and gradually add to sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla, oats and chips. Drop by rounded teaspoon and spray baking sheet with Pam. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Creepy yet so cute.....now how does that happen? These beauties were waiting for me (hanging on the chandelier) when I came home from work Friday. Along with this pumpkin mat....don't you just love surprises and Target? Thanks Dan, I love them!

Thank you for coming to my little boutique. I had such a great time......lots of girl talk and laughter.

We had a great time catching up....but most of all reminiscing about the good times....actually these are the good times....my dearest friends Becky, Brenda, Janeil and Lisa.....love you guys. We'll be friends forever.

Thanks Sis for helping me with the pumpkin bars and always, always supporting me with my doll business. I love you!

To Aaron, I know you had other plans tonight....and I'm so thankful that you chose to help me out with my show. It really meant so much to me :)

Husband....where do I start! Thank you for helping me create these crazy dolls and always supporting me. I love you so......now we can sit back and relax. I plan to get out my embroidery and watch the MLB playoffs.....yep, I'm a baseball girl.

Here is the recipe for quick and easy pumpkin bars. Enjoy!


Pumpkin Bars

2 cups Bisquick
2 cups sugar
1/2 cups vegetable oil
4 eggs
15 oz can pumpkin
2 T cinnamon

Preheat oven 350. Mix Bisquick and sugar until well blended. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Add oil, pumpkin and cinnamon. Mix until smooth. Pour in greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake 18 minutes. Test with toothpick and cool completely.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 ts. vanilla
8oz cream cheese
3/4 cup butter
1/2 bag powdered sugar

Mix vanilla, cream cheese and butter. Beat until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar. Mix until fluffy. Spread on cooled bars.
