I'm sure every little girl and boy made a few of these when they were little, I sure did!
Here's an edible version. From me to you :)
Mud Pie
container coffee flavored ice cream, softened
cool whip or whipped cream
chocolate graham cracker ready crust
caramel topping
hot fudge topping
1 cup crushed chocolate cookies
Spread half ice cream in ready made pie crust. Freeze for 30 minutes. Spread generous layer of hot fudge over ice cream. Freeze another 30 minutes. Top with remaining ice cream, cool whip and cookie crumbs. Freeze 4-6 hours. Drizzle with caramel and additional hot fudge before serving.
If you drink this with coffee, it's even yummier!
This is sooooo good I can't even begin to tell you. Just a few tips before you begin. Ice cream shouldn't melt too much, just barely softened. This will create a HUGE mess if it's too runny :( I did heat the hot fudge for just a few seconds so it would spread easily, not too hot or it will melt your ice cream. It's OK to build your Mud Pie a bit larger than your pie shell. As long as it's been frozen in between layers, you should be good to go :) To crush cookies, put in baggy and use rolling pin. I used Famous brand chocolate cookies and took out the filling.
Have fun! Also, I highly recommend making a real mud pie too. I always knew I'd make desserts :)
