Thanksgiving memories.......

I'm helping out with Jake's Fall classroom party this year.

My assignment, a Fall Crafty. I think these little guys will do just fine. I'm going to put Dan to work tonight assembling one to make sure they are easy for the kids to make :)  ha! ha!!

We also found an old branch and I made a thankful tree :) I've been wanting to make one forever.

I downloaded the leaf graphic here. Then I just put them in Photoshop and put our names on each leaf.

I'm so thankful for my sweet little family :)

I found an old canning jar, filled it with sand and some little pumpkins. Wrapped some burlap and ribbon. An instant Thankful Tree :)

Tonight some will get pom pom noses, red noses and lots of different feathers :)

I'm sure the kids will love making them.

 

Each year I try to think of a new tradition to add to our Holidays.

I was browsing around my magazine a few nights ago and saw her cute little face along with her Christmas tradition :)

How great is that?

a walk in the knobby trees

 
This time we ventured out to the Mount Ogden Trail.

Being so close to the mountains, reminds me of my Dad.

He could actually ski down the mountain and into his own backyard as a kid :)

 

I put these two to work picking pine cones. They are for a crafty project that I'm putting together tomorrow :)

So Jake and I decided we would go on "An Adventure Day". For our first adventure, we headed to Jensen Park and snapped a few photos of our favorite things.

Happy Holidays!

My little shop will be closing for the season on Friday Evening to allow all orders to be filled and ship out Thanksgiving Weekend.

You can still order ready made items but I am not taking any additional made to order items after Friday evening.

I really had my heart set on a Christmas Boutique at our home this year but I'm a little swamped with orders and family stuff.....so maybe next year!

Our shop will be opening again mid January 2012.

as sweet as Pie.....

Lots of birthday celebrations this week.

When my oldest boys were growing up we had a tradition where I would make their favorite dinner and dessert and decorate their rooms with tons of birthday balloons and banners. They would also get a very special birthday basket full of their favorite drinks, snacks, candy and toy.

So, Aaron requested Dan's famous Chicken Dinner, mashed potatoes with gravy and HUGE rolls.

I was in charge of Dessert! I knew Aaron was already getting a cake from his girlfriend Jess, so I made him his favorite Chocolate Pie. I also snuck in a little mini chocolate pie for him to take with him. I love mini things....so CUTE!

Happy 22nd Birthday Aaron :) We LOVE YOU!!!!

 

Happy Birthday Sis! I love you so much and completely adore and admire you. I'm so glad your my sister! What would I do without you? I'm so blessed to have you in my life.
