We couldn't wait to see Frankenweenie---cute movie!
I made soup, spider cookies and Jake had a blast at the neighbors Halloween bash.
It's a sickness....but I was also so excited that we cleaned and organized the garage. We're still working on it---I sometimes wonder if half of it disappeared---would we even notice? I sure wish we had a storage shed---but until then we have to be creative.
I think Dan is about ready to hit me over the head because I'm labeling everything and putting it in storage bins. I'm glad he puts up with my girly-labeling-bossy behavior.
Along came a Spider Cookies
1 package Great Value Devils Food Cookie Cakes
1 package good white chocolate, melted
1 package mini red M&M's
Pretzel sticks
Melt chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until chocolate is melted. If you use white chocolate chips, follow the direction on the package. You will need to add some shortening.
Dip cookie tops and sides in white chocolate and place on wax paper. Break pretzels in half and insert four legs on each side of spider body. Give your spider some red eyes or any color you wish.
You can also use Red Hot candies and black licorice rope for legs :)
I think white Spiders are the CReepIESt so that's why we dipped ours.
Spicy Tomato Pasta Soup
1 pound ground turkey burger
1 small onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups hot water
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
salt, to taste
2 medium red potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 cups frozen corn
1 cup uncooked pasta spirals or shells
1 32 ounce box chicken broth
2 cups V8 juice
2 10 ounce cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 TB sugar
mozarella cheese, shredded
In large soup pot, cook turkey burger, salt, pepper, onion and garlic over medium heat until turkey burger is no longer pink. Add water, potatoes, bay leaves, half box chicken broth, corn and pasta.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until pasta is almost done.
Stir in remaining chicken broth, V8 juice, tomatoes and sugar. Cook and stir until heated through.
Sprinkle with shredded mozarella cheese, if desired.
Freezes great! For up to 3 months.

WE loved "Frankenweenie" although Noodle was a little disturbed by the Vampire Kitty.

I know...I was too.
Jake would have been but he was too concerned about Sparky........hes a worry wart like his mom :)
Pssss....I love your ideas when you put all of noodlebugs pics on for Halloween.......I need to do this too!
