Another beautiful Fall day. These photos were taken over the long holiday weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better day for biking. We biked a few hours and then headed home to chicken noodle soup and corn bread. I made everything early afternoon because I knew we had a long adventure ahead and we would be starving.
I used the Project Life App and I had my weekend scrapbook all finished, within just a few minutes. I love that thing! So much fun. So as far as my system, for Project Life, this is what I do. I'm usually a month or so behind because I like to wait for the month to pass. That way I can view all the weekly photos and see what I have to work with in my Studio Calico Kit. That's really my only splurge with scrapbooking and the occasional app or two. I will most likely use my layouts I create as a reference. This way I can use my kit, embellishments and cards I have on hand. I love digital, but hybrid is the way to go for me. I'm not a patient person, so these days I print all of my layouts 4x6, 6x8, 8x8, and 12x12 at home.
Here's a few examples of what I'll be working with.
A few more birthday photos to share :) The Fall is full of so many birthdays for our family and friends. Lots of celebrating.
When we got back from Seattle, Jake passed out a Belated Birthday Halloween treat to the kids in his class. They really got a kick out of the vampire teeth we added to the glazed doughnuts. We preordered the doughnuts from Walmart and found the vampire teeth at Target. Just another cute idea I found on Pinterest. You could even add candy eyes and different color teeth or lips. We just went old school. Of course :)
We had such a magical time celebrating Birthdays in Seattle. It was so nice to see everyone again, so hard to leave. I wish we all lived closer. I probably snapped 5000 photos of everything and everyone while we were there. Hope they don't think I'm too crazy :)
I think this makes three straight weekends of canning. We're in the home stretch! I think. You never know how quick the weather will turn here, so were on a canning and freezing frenzy.
I'm excited to finish up the preserving and yard chores for the year and concentrate on walks, hiking, biking and all of the fun holiday traditions :)
I've been working on Jake's school days scrapbook a little here and there as I find time. I can't wait to share this with you. It's one of those things with all my boys that I'm passionate about, and get crazed if I'm not organized and caught up.
Which I'm not! Not even close :) but I'm sure working on it.
It's been a rainy weekend, with more to come. This just makes me want to crochet, take a nap, bake, maybe take another nap and set up our hot cocoa coffee nook.
