3 TB yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup butter
2 cups warm water
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
2 tsp. salt
9 cups flour
additional butter
Sprinkle yeast into 1/2 cup warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Combine butter, 2 cups warm water and sugar in microwave safe bowl. Heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Stir until combined and beat in eggs.
Mix in salt and 4 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in yeast.
Add rest of flour and stir until well combined.
Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Mix down and cover with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate overnight.
Sprinkle counter with 1 TB flour and roll out dough.
I always cut my dough in half and make cinnamon rolls, you can find the cinnamon roll recipe I use here :)
Melt 1/2 cup butter in small bowl
Cut out rolls with biscuit cutter or glass rim and dip in butter.
Place on jelly roll pan. Cover with dish towel and let rise 3 hours or until doubled in size.
Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush tops with additional butter.
