Sometimes you just have to keep trying new things until you get it right.
I really thought when I wrote this post, that I had really done something special.
Not so much. Way too much work and I really don't like my handwriting on all of the recipes. Plus, like I mentioned in my original post---my hand almost fell off.
I dearly love it when I get old recipes from family and friends and they are hand written but I'm a little critical of my own I guess :)
So anyway, I've completely fallen in love with the Simple Stories products. Their 6x8 binders are so beautiful and the quality is perfect. They have these darling recipe tab/divider pages....they were just what I was looking for.
I got to work and grabbed my very favorite recipes from my blog and made a word document. I used the recipes that I make each month and our absolute favorites. You know, the ones you'd want to pass down from generation to generation---the real keepers :)
I grabbed some pretty papers and cut them to size. I added them to my 6x8 Simple Stories page protectors and slipped in the recipes.
I did add a few embellishments to some. Nothing fancy, I wanted this to be a simple project. I can always go back later and add things.
My binder is already so chubby (due to the gi-normous amount of dessert type recipes). Huge sweet tooth here. If you already haven't noticed :)
I think I'll order another binder, maybe the red or lime. This way the "Desserts" and "Cookies" won't have to share with the others.
I have a sneaky feeling that even more binders are in my future :)
