I have quite a few cinnamon roll recipes on my blog. My husband LOVES cinnamon rolls---well they are a close second to brownies.
I love these cinnamon rolls for so many reasons. You can make the dough in the bread machine and they make just one sheet of cinnamon rolls. I mean, otherwise we'd eat the entire two pans and need new pants :)
Happy Cinnamon Roll making!
Cinnamon Rolls
1 cup milk, warmed
2 1/4 teaspoons dry active yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling
1 cup brown sugar or white sugar (both are great)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted
Icing
1 stick butter, softened
dash salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups powdered sugar
milk
In bread pan, add milk and sprinkle with yeast. Let sit for 3 minutes. Add sugar, 1/4 cup cooled melted butter, eggs, flour and salt. Press dough cycle on bread machine and START.
In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon, set aside.
Spread dough on floured surface. Roll into a 15x20 rectangle. Spread with 1/4 cup melted butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Roll up with long end jelly roll style. Cut into 12 rolls. Place on buttered jelly roll pan. Let rise for 1 hour covering with parchment paper and kitchen towel.
Bake 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes and frost.
For icing, beat butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk until you get the consistency desired. Add salt and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Frost warm cinnamon rolls.
