my favorite soup........

 

So when we were in Seattle, we went to Beecher's.

I read about this Sandwich and Soup Shop and how incredible it is.

Jake was so excited to have a grilled cheese sandwich.

but then........

 

 

What the........

Hmmmm.....this wasn't the grilled cheese sandwich my mom makes :)

He is picky like that and I can't believe he is missing out! I guess when he's older he'll appreciate really good food.

 

 

 

Beecher's is famous for their Macaroni and Cheese.

I'll have to try that next time......but for me it's always a sandwich and soup.

I love soup and anything with the word "tomatoes".

How will I ever make it another two years without this soup!

 

 

 

Jake was happy to discover a Gigantic Hot Dog on the building next door.

This could only mean one thing......hot dogs were inside :)

 

 

OK, now that's more like it.

Hawaiian Guava Strawberry Drink

 

Hello!

Hope you are all enjoying the New Year. Today we spent the entire day taking down Christmas (sadly) and redecorating. This always means a lot of dusting and vacuuming but it really does feel good to get the house back in shape.

Luckily, I LOVE Valentine's Day so it was really fun to get my decorations out and have fun adding a little love to our home.

Oh and I wanted to share.....we made the yummiest drinks for New Year's Eve :)

They would be great anytime of the year.......here's the recipe :)

 

Hawaiian Guava Strawberry Orange Drink

12 ounce frozen Hawaiian Guava Apple Strawberry concentrate
orange juice, prepared
vodka, optional
frozen strawberries
ice
whipped cream

In blender add frozen concentrate, handful frozen strawberries, ice cubes. Fill to the top with orange juice. Pulse until well blended. Add additional ice and berries if needed.

We used Hawaiians Own Guava and Strawberry frozen concentrate.

At this point you may add a little splash of vodka if you wish.

Garnish with whipped cream, additional berries and candle.
