Birthdays and Vampire Teeth Doughnuts

A few more birthday photos to share :) The Fall is full of so many birthdays for our family and friends. Lots of celebrating.

When we got back from Seattle, Jake passed out a Belated Birthday Halloween treat to the kids in his class. They really got a kick out of the vampire teeth we added to the glazed doughnuts. We preordered the doughnuts from Walmart and found the vampire teeth at Target. Just another cute idea I found on Pinterest. You could even add candy eyes and different color teeth or lips. We just went old school. Of course :)

Playing old board games that we forgot how to play :) Trouble, Jenga, Battleship.......more.

Eating doughnuts, drinking hot cocoa---staying warm. Lots of popcorn.

I've been working on a Blurb book, a Shutterfly calendar, Project Life and just finishing December Daily......I'm a little behind.

It's all good though.

It's cool like that---well, at least Jake is :)

Holiday Foolishness

I'm not sure if we should EVER EVER make fun of the Griswold's again :)

 

HoeDown time......

This weekend we celebrated my brothers 60th Birthday.

We threw him a good old fashioned Hoedown.

I turned a little closet in our family room into a "Hillbilly Photo Booth". That was my favorite part! Lots of great pictures going on in there.

We stored his gift in a chicken coop, had tons of pot luck food and a large steel tub filled with soda.

I decorated the tables with mason jars filled with sand and flickering candles and I stuffed wild flowers in old soda and beer bottles. Just simple stuff like that.

I made him a movie, Shutterfly memory book and we celebrated with lots of Country music.

Happy Birthday Pit! (that's what we call him....don't ask :)

Oh Lucky Day................

As luck would have it.....the Leprechaun paid us a visit.

Jake set his trap, but the Leprechaun was a wee bit too sneaky.

He left rainbows in a few doorways and a mess of muddy green foot prints.

I do think he felt bad because he left us all a little treat.

We celebrated at Iggy's but not for too long because we knew the Leprechaun may come back for more foolishness.

We ate Jello Lime Poke Cake and Rainbow Rice Krispies for dessert with green punch.
