when we kissed.....it was like....magic.......

It rained and it rained.....but what do you expect in Seattle :) I do love the rain, spooky storms, wind howling, trees swaying.
We stayed at Dan's folks home. (Dan's house growing up). Isn't it a beauty? I love the cottage feel, love the colors, the windows and the layout of the house is incredible. My father in law built many additions since they purchased their home in the 1960's. Dan is not sure the year it was originally built.

My favorite things......the built in book shelves that have secret compartments, the staircase, potting shed/green house, sun room and porch.

If you know me well, you know that I adore Pearl Jam. Their music is my heart. You know when you can really "feel" a song....well that is what happens when I listen to them. I had to take a few pictures of these artful posters at the "Experience Music Project" museum. They had a cool retro room that I had to grab a quick photo ----I'll dedicate this picture to my friend Barbara.....over in Gold Beach Oregon. Love you Bung! "Excuse me, while I kiss the sky". She's a "real true to life hippiegirl". I love the era....but she is the real deal. Such a good friend too :)

A little wooden kitchen witch we picked up at Pike Place Market. She is hand made by the shop owners father at the Polish Pottery Place. I love whimsical, folk art treasures with history and traditions. She's been very nice so far and is said to be of good luck. Although, I bumped into a lady while I was purchasing her and she said. Oh! A kitchen witch, last time I bought a kitchen witch I burnt dinner that night! I told her that wasn't really a problem for me, since I seldom cook. lol 

Is it just me? Or do these two look alike? Bahhaaaa!

I do dream of living in Seattle someday but it is always good to be home. My husband always tells me, home is wherever YOU are. I sure do love him :) Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

The Treehouse

We visited the Elizabeth Stewart Treehouse yesterday. I've been wanting to take Jake for sometime now, and finally had a day off.

There are so many fun things to do but Jake was only interested in climbing up and down and down and up the stairs.....he wore us out!

I couldn't help but think of my lovely friend, Jeannene the entire time we were there. How I would have loved to bring Mila along to pal around with Jake. If Mila is anything like her mother, she will love the Treehouse! Full of Knights, Queens, Kings, Storybooks and Dolls (my personal favorite).

Ok, so I'm dedicating this page to Mila and her mommy.

2000 Plus CD's and Counting!

My husband, King of his CD Collection. Now let me tell you all a little story while my husband puts his CD's away (in alphabetical order of course!). Dan worked at Tower Records in Seattle Washington. He has a gazillion CD's! Yes, he has been fortunate enough to have met all of Pearl Jam (Eddie of course---yes and he touched him!! Shook his hand :) I almost fainted and this is why I married him :) Just teasing of course! It was a great time the early nineties! Sure wish I could have been that girl on his arm-- going to all those Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains concerts :) I do love this man with all I know and am.
