I've been making fudge for a very long time. Thing is, I've been doing it wrong all these years. This recipe is incredibly smooth and creamy and exactly what fudge should taste like.
I'll be using this recipe for many more years to come :)
Creamy Chocolate Fudge
1 jar marshmallow creme
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, Ghirardellis
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
Line an 8 inch square pan with buttered foil. Set aside.
In large saucepan over medium heat, combine marshmallow creme, sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt. Bring to full boil, stirring constantly until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees.
Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips, stir until smooth and creamy. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour in prepared pan and chill 2 hours. Cut in squares.
