Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

One of my favorite things to make the night before Thanksgiving is this cute little mix. 

Each year I try to look around for a new Blessing Mix Printable and something a little bit different. 

I really love how these turned out :)

I resized the free printable and printed two on a 4x6 sheet of photo paper. I used a corner punch to make the edges, added a hole punch and strung pretty ribbon.

Cocoa with Strawberry Hearts and Kisses

These tags were so fun to make. I used my Silhouette to create, print and cut the tags and a design from Lettering Delights Hogs and Kisses collection.

I put our favorite hot cocoa mix in canning jars, added strawberry marshmallows and a sprinkle of chocolate chips. Then I tied everything together with ribbon, yarn and a vintage milk top.

A fun sweet treat :)

 

Hot Cocoa Drink Mix

1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup non dairy vanilla creamer

Whisk together and store in airtight container or canning jars.

To prepare: Add 3 TB cocoa mix to 3/4 cups boiling water. I add a
little cocoa mix at a time until I get it just right.

Add strawberry marshmallows and milk chocolate chips for an extra devilish treat :)

Reindeer Rootbeers

We dressed a few Rootbeer Bottle Sodas up as Reindeer.

I found this darling idea on Pinterest.

We attached movie type candy, popcorn and strung movie gift cards on a few. You could even tuck a few DVD's in too. For Jake's teachers and little friends we just gave out individual reindeer pops.

Rootbeer Bottle Soda Packs
licorice
popcorn
theater type candy
movie passes
dvds
brown or red pipe cleaner or both
googly eyes
pom pom nose, any size
ribbon
jingle bells
string
glue gun

Grab two of your favorite colors of pipe cleaner. Twist each one in the shape of antlers. Twist together and hot glue to the back of soda bottle.

Glue on eyes and nose.

Finish your reindeer with some darling ribbon for a scarf and attach a jingle bell or two.

Mini Gingerbread Houses

I have always wanted to make Gingerbread Houses or buy one of those cute little kits.

I didn't want a big project, so I thought mini gingerbread houses would be perfect.

They are the cutest little magical things.

We are definitely going to add another Christmas tradition to our list :)

Mini Gingerbread Houses

Graham crackers
1 tube easy squeeze icing, white
1 can easy flow frosting, white
assorted candies and coconut

For each house, glue together with icing 5 graham cracker squares, without a top.

For roof, cut one graham cracker square in a triangle with a serrated knife.

Use two more graham cracker squares for the roof. Secure with icing and let dry.

Using the easy flow frosting with star tip, squeeze frosting to cover all of your gingerbread house seams.

Decorate with candies and let dry.

Tip: We put each house on a sheet of wax paper. When everything was dry, we transferred our houses to a pretty plate. Decorate around the houses with more coconut and steps made of peppermint candies.

Snickerdoodle Coffee Mix

Snickerdoodle Coffee Mix

1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup non dairy vanilla creamer
3 TB instant coffee
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Whisk together and store in airtight container or canning jars.

To prepare: Add 3 TB coffee cocoa mix to 3/4 cups boiling water. I add a little cocoa mix at a time until I get it just right :)

Not a coffee drinker? That's OK, just skip the coffee part. Makes delicious cocoa.....add lots of cream!

 

Place snickerdoodle mix in canning jars for a darling gift.
